To assist with on-site SEO, technical optimizations, or content implementation, our team may need temporary WordPress Administrator access. This guide walks you through how to safely create a new admin user for RankPay.
✅ Step-by-Step Instructions
Log Into Your WordPress Site
Visit your WordPress login page, usually found at:www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin
If this link doesn’t work, your site may use a custom login URL. No worries — just contact your RankPay Account Manager and we’ll help you find the right page.
Navigate to the Users Menu
From the left-hand WordPress dashboard menu, hover over “Users” and click “Add New.”Fill Out the New User Form
Username:
RankPay
Email:
wms@rankpay.com
⚠️ If your Account Manager provided a different email, please use that instead.
First Name / Last Name: Optional (you can leave these blank)
Set the Password
A strong password will be automatically generated.
Copy and save this password securely — you’ll need to share it with your Account Manager if email notifications aren’t working (more on this below).
Set the Role
Under the “Role” dropdown, select:
Administrator
Add the New User
Click the “Add New User” button to complete the creation.
What Happens Next?
If your site has email notifications enabled (typically through SMTP), WordPress will automatically send the new user login details to our team.
✅ How to Tell If SMTP Is Configured
If you regularly receive email notifications from WordPress (like plugin update alerts or login activity reports), your site likely has SMTP set up — and you’re all done!
What If You Don’t Have SMTP?
If you’re unsure or don’t receive any system emails from WordPress:
Manually Send the Password
Since we won’t receive the password via email, please send the password you copied in Step 4 directly to your Account Manager.
Security Note
Once we log in, our team will immediately update the password to ensure your site remains fully secure.
If you run into any issues or have questions, feel free to contact your Account Manager or email support@rankpay.com.
